It was about plants and well thought out and fun. The second time I went to a kids puppet show which was awesome. The first time I brought my whole family only to bore them with the musuem and a high price. I've been to the Puppetry Arts at least 4 times. Everything hit the bullseye, but you missed the mark on the lower seat sightlines. I am NOT angry, but this is an encouragement to the director. While my view was blocked, they would have missed more. My wheelchair allowed me to be about 4 inches higher than anyone seated in the white folding chairs. This should be on website, ticket office and relayed by seaters. When you book a cruise they tell you what rooms have blocked views. At least most scenes that started backstage moved forward so I could see. Many scenes were blocked by the rock set piece about mid stage. I was in a wheelchair thus had to go to the bottom row where there were several chairs for others to sit (I guess for overflow). SIGHTLINES!!! It is the responsibility of the director to stage, place set pieces, and place actors etc.in place to allow sightlines for the available seats.

That in itself knocked down the level of professional ability for me. None of these performers had that challenge since none of the puppets had working mouths but the abominable snowman. Part of the mastery of puppet arts is the manipulation of the moving mouth. I cannot recommend this place any higher. The emotions rendered through the smallest gesture was terrific and nuanced.

The voices were as good speech and singing as the original tv show. The museum was tremendous and interesting. I wish there was a class which was an actual paid semi-professional class versus a craft project. The puppet making class was fun and simple. Check the Center for Puppetry Arts' website for more details. The Center for Puppetry Arts deserves 5 stars but for two things. You can also take the MARTA's Gold or Red line to the Arts Center station, which also connects with multiple bus lines.

Free parking is available on-site but is limited. The center is about 4 miles north of downtown, nearby the High Museum of Art. All-inclusive tickets, which include admission to the museum, a family-oriented performance and a Create-A-Puppet Workshop, are available for an additional cost (prices vary). Prices and times for museum tours, special events, classes and performances vary as well. Tickets cost $16 for adults they cost $14 for seniors and $12 for children 2 to 12. The museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. In addition to visiting the museum, travelers highly recommend seeing one of the puppet shows and describe this destination as fun for the whole family. While visitors were pleasantly surprised with the depth of information available on Henson, others said that the international collection was somewhat cursory. Though the center is small, recent travelers enjoyed their visits, saying that it is an absolute must-do for Jim Henson and Muppets fans. The center also features a museum store, where visitors can purchase puppets, books, postcards and other educational gifts. In addition, the museum hosts rotating special exhibits. Travelers can visit with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, characters from "Fraggle Rock" and several residents of Sesame Street. The collection catalogues the history of puppetry across the world and boasts an entire collection dedicated to Jim Henson's work. At the center, visitors can attend puppetry workshops and live shows. Recognized worldwide for its theatrical and programming ingenuity, the Center for Puppetry Arts preserves and celebrates puppets.
